Terms and Condition

1. Definitions

1.1 “Client” – the individual or organisation engaging BM Electricals to provide electrical services.
1.2 “Services” – any electrical work undertaken, including but not limited to:

  • Consumer Unit Replacement
  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)
  • EV Charger Installations
  • Solar Panel & Battery Storage Installations
  • General Electrical Services
    3 “Appointment” – any scheduled time for provision of Services at the Client’s premises.

 

2. Quotations & Acceptance

2.1 All quotations provided by BM Electricals are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Acceptance of a quotation confirms the Client’s agreement to these Terms & Conditions.

 

3. Payment Terms

3.1 A 50% deposit may be required upon booking confirmation. This secures your appointment.
3.2 The remaining balance is payable immediately upon completion of Services.
3.3 Late payments (over 14 days) may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate until paid in full.
3.4 All materials and equipment used on site remain the property of BM Electricals until paid for in full.

 

4. Missed Appointments & Cancellations

4.1 If the Client fails to provide access or is not available at the agreed time, this will be deemed a missed appointment.
4.2 A £100 + VAT charge will apply for any missed or cancelled appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice.
4.3 If BM Electricals needs to reschedule for unforeseen reasons, no cancellation fee will be charged.

 

5. Scope of Work

5.1 Any additional work requested beyond the agreed quotation may be subject to extra charges.
5.2 The Client must ensure safe and unobstructed access to the property.

 

6. Liability & Warranty

6.1 BM Electricals will carry out all work with reasonable skill, care, and in line with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
6.2 Any defects must be reported within 14 days of completion.
6.3 BM Electricals is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of profit or business interruption.

 

7. Health & Safety

7.1 Work will always be carried out in accordance with UK health and safety regulations.
7.2 BM Electricals reserves the right to suspend work if safety is compromised.

 

8. Insurance

BM Electricals holds full public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Evidence of cover is available upon request.

 

9. Consumer Rights

BM Electricals operates in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

 

10. Privacy & Data Protection

BM Electricals respects client confidentiality and complies with GDPR. Personal information will only be used for service delivery and billing purposes.

 

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
